Mushroom

I've been an avid photographer for as long as I can remember.
I got my first camera when I was eight or nine years old. I started with our cats and rabbits (and my sister). Then I moved on to horses and rock stars (and my sister's dog mr. Ukko). Now I am taking photos of mushroom... Don't ask me if they are eatable or not. *)

O M G, that was scary! I can still remember my first time on competing in show jumping. 

I was all sweating and just trying to remember where I was supposed to be navigating...

I'm practising baseball in July.
And I sucked!
I got 14 (and a half) missed bats (out of 16 bats). I guess I got "out" in baseball terms.
Even though Finnish baseball (pesäpallo) is quite popular here in Finland I was surprised by the fact that there are eight baseball teams here, even one in Tampere. The teams have interesting names such as tigers, bullets, mets, boars, pirates, and black sox.

It's obviously me and mr. Ukko, my nephew.
Have you ever sniffed at a dog? Maybe two dogs at the same time? Did you notice that dogs smell different? I love sniffing mr. Ukko. He's got the best dog smell that I know. And his fur feels like velvet.

In Dedication to Robin Williams

This morning I read with great sadness that Robin Williams, the great actor, has passed away.

It is believed that he committed suicide due to depression and alcoholism that he had suffered for years. 

Robin Williams represents both Adrian Cronauer and Johan Keating to me - the roles he played in Good Morning, Vietnam, and Dead Poets Society - my favorite movies, and my favorite movie characters. I shall end this post by one of my favorite movie quotes. Hopefully it takes you back to that very special movie:

" I sound my barbaric yawp over the rooftops of the world".

It's Bruuttus and me.

Horses changed my life - for good! When I was a kid all I could think of was horses. I didn't start horseback riding then but two years ago. Now, I couldn't live my life without having these beautiful animals in my life. It's pure love!
