We all look so dapper...
Back then we didn't know anything about Internet. Or sms. We didn't know there will be things like YouTube and Facebook. Have we ever heard about dvds, digital cameras, or selfies? Did we miss Emojis or Instagram? I think we were pretty happy with what we had.
I feel so sad for not having a proper camera back then... Back when my hair looked... um... well...
Of course it was, like, totally different back then. We didn't have digital cameras or smartphones to take photos... I d_i_d have a camera, one that needed like a suitcase to be carried around. Yeah, those were the times. Back then. And I'm in the middle.
I think I look dapper in this photo.
I'm wearing a suit and a hat and a bowtie. And I have a cut in my finger.
It was in the elementary school. One day we were asked to dress up like back in the days.
I might have been one of the very few who wore anything special for the day. I can still remember the feeling that I had... a little proud for having the guts to do something different.
It's Thursday again.
This Thursday I want to take you to the streets of Munich, Germany. We are leaving for clubbing and I definitely look wasted. I don't remember when this shot was taken, maybe five, six or seven years ago. But I think I still look the same when wasted.
I got my Master's degree in 2008. My former colleagues gave me this, and it's basically saying in Finnish that "since your head is not protected by a soft afro get a bike helmet with this gift card". I bought bike lights.
As you can see I'm having hard time stretching my legs. And, yes, I know I should finish my training with some stretching but, um, I don't like it. And, yes, I know I should start my training with some stretching but, um, I don't like it. For as long as I reach the floor with my palms (having my legs straight) I'm happy. Other than that... #youcandoit
When was this photo taken?
I honestly can't say. But what I c a n say is that I bought that Mickey Mouse t-shirt in Bangkok in 2000. And I got my Canon ixus in 2001 (the camera I used back then). So, let's just say that this pic was taken for more than a decade ago. And we haven't changed a bit, have we?
ps my hair looks better now, though.
pss I still have that t-shirt. Is it already vintage?
I've been listening to Pet Shop Boys a lot - not just now but even earlier. I can some how relate to their song called Winner. Not the part where they sing "I've been a loser" but "But don't forget all / The love and laughter / Now the world is at our feet". That's why I want to dedicate this song to my family and friends. It took m e a long time to feel this happy in my life but I'm there now! There is no one thing that I would want any other way. It's amazing how things finally click and you've got all the things that really matter, to you.
ps Unfortunately you are not able to see the green leather jacket that I'm wearing in this picture. I believe it was another party in Flogsta, Uppsala, Sweden (in 2001). There are Ulla, Andre, Dmitri, Marc etc. in the photo.
If this photo was in colors you would actually see the cactus that I'm holding. It was a gift.
Merouan was going home while we were both studying in Uppsala, Sweden. We are standing in the hallway in one of those corridors in Flogsta. That cactus blossomed later, bright pink flowers.
This shot was taken in Gamla Stan, Stockholm, in 2001. We took a day trip to Stockholm from Uppsala. It was gals all around the world: Austria, Italy, Spain, Finland... We sure had some fun sightseeing and doing some shopping! I find this photo quite funny: my hair looks so short, and I don't even know where that red Marimekko shoulder bag is today. Maybe I need to ask my sis...
It's #tbt again.
This time I had to go way back in the h i s t o r y.
I think this pic was taken in 1997. I had my hair cut right after I got my second High School Diploma, this time in Kurikka, Finland. I'm sitting on my dad's bike. He rebuilt it all by himself. And later sold it to someone in Koskenkorva. My dad thought that that ride didn't run fast enough.
Oh boy!
It's summer, this summer. Or should I say "last summer"? Well, any way, I'm referring to t h a t summer that we had like less than fours months ago here. I'm sunbathing. And my sister's dog, mr. Ukko, is sitting o n me!
We had a nice walk earlier that day. It was so sunny and hot that I felt like sucking some Sun in. I even had a blanket put in the shadow, for mr. Ukko. But, as you can see in the pic, he's sitting on me. There we were: me trying to get some Sun, mr. Ukko wanting to sit on me.
Thoughts?
I got this few days back.
It was shot at Hämeenkadun appro exactly two weeks ago.
As you can see in the pic we all had huge smiles on our faces. I don't know if it was just because drinks were for free, or we had an adequate excuse to attend this student party. Us adults, erm...
Last Saturday.
A friend of mine bought a new sofa. We had a sofa warming party.
I really did feel like partying all night long but, then, I fell asleep at midnight.
Thanks, gurls!
Oh, whatever makes her happy on a Saturday night,
Oh, whatever makes her happy, whatever makes it alright
It looks like I'm having a lot of fun (few months back).
And, indeed, I am!
I got my driver's license when I was like 19. I got my license during the winter time, and I just didn't drive. I was afraid of the icy roads, snow, and all that. Now I love driving my dad's Jeep Grand Cherokee! But don't let this pic fool you. I'm a girl with many talents: I can drive a scooter, too (no matter what). And safety comes first even if I (you) look like a dork. Remember that, fool!
ps this one's for you, my dear sister Marika! You were the most hardcore Scooter fan that I know.
It's me!
It's my two teeth!
And my big (huge!) smile.
My mom told me that I didn't like to just sit down and have my pictures taken when I was a kid. *) That's why you cannot see the summer hat my mom knitted me in the picture (and she knitted it especially for that special day in my (special) life). I still have that dress hanging in my closet at my parents. **) But we haven't seen that hat ever since.
*) This applies to my day-to-day life even today...
**) I can show it if you like.
